Our instructors are certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA) and are committed to providing you a fun and engaging environment to learn from. If you are wanting to learn how to enjoy paddling while being safe, we are here to help.  Classes start at $25 an hour per student with most classes being 4 hours or longer with exception of the rolling classes which are suggested for 2-hour sessions.  Discounts are applied for larger groups.  Kayak/Canoe, life jackets, and paddles can be provided if needed.  Contact us to start building a training plan that fits your needs.

What We Teach

Kayaking

We offer specialized kayak instruction tailored to you and what you are looking for.  They range from introduction to kayaking on flatwater, to paddling rivers with Class III rapids to paddling at the coast.  Classes typically last from 4 to 6 hours.

Canoeing

We offer canoe instruction from flatwater to class I canoe trips.  Special trips can be scheduled for higher level river canoeing if the student has their own canoe. Classes typically last from 4 to 6 hours.

River Safety & Rescue

We offer specialized river safety and rescue instruction tailored to meet your needs.  We offer classes ranging from just learning to be safe in moving water to full swiftwater rescue courses.  Most scenarios require at least 4 students for most classes.

Kayak Rolling

We offer lessons on kayak rolling.  If you want to learn how to roll your whitewater or touring kayak, we can help.  Lessons typically last 2 hours and it takes most students 3 to 4 classes to have develop a working roll.  

Kayak Fishing

Learn how to become an amateur kayak fisherman and be safe while doing it.  This is typically an all-day class and session
